Privacy Policy

plato·cert is operated by Plato. This site is a single-purpose web utility for decoding SSL/TLS certificates. It does not require an account, does not transmit certificate data to any server, and stores nothing beyond what your browser keeps locally.
What we collect
- Certificates you paste — stay 100% in your browser. All ASN.1 parsing and fingerprint computation runs in JavaScript locally via the Web Crypto API. Verify by opening DevTools → Network — no requests are made when you decode a certificate.
- Anonymous analytics — we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and understand which features are useful. This is zone-wide and does not receive certificate data.
- Advertising — Google AdSense ad code is loaded in the page. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve contextual ads. You can opt out at Google Ads Settings.
What we do NOT collect
- Certificate contents you paste — never transmitted
- Private keys or CSRs you paste — never transmitted (and we recommend you never paste private keys into any online tool)
- Your name, email, address, or phone number
- Account information — there are no accounts

Cookies
The tool itself does not set cookies. Google AdSense sets cookies via Google's domain. You can block or clear these via your browser settings without affecting the tool's functionality.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Data subject rights (GDPR, CCPA)
Since we do not collect personal information beyond anonymous analytics, in most cases there is nothing to disclose, correct, or delete. Contact us if you have a specific request.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top.
